We are accredited to present TETA qualifications 59365 Level 3 130 Credits
and 59298 Level 4 135 Credits.

Our cargo insurance Master Class covers 17 TETA credits plus, if required by the delegate, 12 CPD (Continuous Professional Development) hours by the Insurance Institute of South Africa.  It is over two days and has been presented besides in South Africa, as far afield as Malaysia.  The course covers general cargo underwriting, claims, recoveries from third parties plus general average and salvage awards.

Learn the basics behind exporting and importing

Over 4 days we will teach you the basics behind exporting and importing, from Incoterms 2010 rules, basics of international trade and export and import procedures.

Do all 4 days or just pick whichever you feel you need to do.

Incoterms ® 2020 rules training

  • Rules now titled for International as well as domestic trade.
  • History of the rules.
  • Why new rules.
  • Four old rules deleted and two new rules.
  • Rules now divided into two sections, namely any mode or modes of transport, and sea and inland waterways.
  • Detailed explanation of each rule.
  • Case studies.

Cargo Lost, Damaged and Discrepant Cargo

  • When my cargo arrives damaged, or even fails to arrive, am I following the correct procedures?
  • What are the time factors in which I must lodge a claim and receive settlement?
  • What are the maximum liabilities of the different carriers/liable parties?
  • Has the carrier taken all necessary precautions to protect my cargo whilst it is in their care?
  • Do I understand how Standard Trading Terms and Conditions affect any settlement that is due to me as the cargo owner?
  • Have I accepted the Standard Trading Terms and Conditions as a condition of carriage of my cargo?
  • Many claims against carriers are repudiated because the person claiming does not know the correct procedures which need to be followed.
  • As a carrier under a house bill of lading, what are my responsibilities.
